Community Crime Prevention
Crime prevention involves activities that seek to prevent crime and offending before it occurs. It includes activities which address fear of crime.
The prevention of crime requires individuals, communities, business, community organisations and all levels of government to work together.

It has information about community crime prevention grants and tips on managing crime prevention projects. Victorian councils and community organisations are invited to apply for up to $200,000 to support locally based projects to reduce the risks of crime and increase community safety in nominated priority locations across Victoria
109 locally based crime prevention initiatives across Victoria are set to receive funding. Grants of up to $10,000 have been awarded for 109 projects to be delivered by community organisations including sporting clubs, multicultural communities, scouts, traders associations and councils to implement local crime prevention and community safety initiatives.
