The Place-Based Targeted Grants program supports locally based partnership projects to reduce the risks of crime and increase community safety in nominated areas experiencing high rates of crime and disadvantage.
Recognising that the capacity to address risk and protective factors for crime extends beyond the Justice portfolio, the program has an emphasis on collaboration and leveraging contributions from across government and community agencies.
The grants support evidence-based projects covering elements of social, neighbourhood, environmental and situational crime prevention responses - either singly or in combination – targeting nominated priority locations.
Priority is given to initiatives addressing young people or other particularly vulnerable groups, such as Koori and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities.
The Place-Based Targeted Grants Program is now closed. For general enquiries about these grants, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
