In 2015 the Victorian Minister for Police endorsed the pilot of the Place-Based Targeted Grants program, with funding of $2.2 million to support the development and delivery of locally based partnership projects that reduce the risks of crime and increase community safety in areas experiencing high rates of crime and disadvantage.

The evaluation of the program was conducted by Urbis with the final report provided in December 2018. A summary report is available below which includes individual project summaries.

In addition to documenting the successes and learnings of individual projects, the report makes 11 recommendations that may be useful to those engaging in local crime prevention partnerships.
