The Community Crime Prevention Unit (CCPU) is working to establish a new Crime Prevention Network to bring together Victorian council staff who work in this important area.

In December 2018, CCPU sent out a survey calling for relevant council staff to have a say about how a network focused on crime prevention might operate.

Nearly 50 people shared their ideas with us, indicating a strong interest in the creation of the network and also providing valuable insight into the possible structure, format and frequency of meetings. CCPU is currently working through this information and will update council staff on the establishment of the network in the coming months.

Further information and an invitation to the first Network meeting will be sent via email to those who responded to the survey. If you were not part of this group and would like to be included, please email communitycrimeprevention@justice.vic.gov.au (External link)
