The Community Crime Prevention Unit and the Municipal Association of Victoria (MAV) are hosting a workshop on 13 March to help Victorian councils strengthen their graffiti prevention activities.

The workshop will provide councils with good practice strategies to support their graffiti prevention activities, and an opportunity to share ideas and insights to inform their project proposals ahead of the next Graffiti Prevention Grants round opening in March.

Taking place in Melbourne, the workshop will be led by Ruth Liston who has over 15 years’ experience teaching and researching criminology and is currently focusing on the use of Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED).

Following the workshop, participants are invited to stay for the MAV Graffiti Special Interest Group meeting for an update on the activities of the group, including a progress report on the statewide graffiti database and Good Practice Guide.
