Additional funding for seven Youth Crime Prevention Grant projects will ensure important work with at-risk young people continues.

Current youth crime prevention projects in Bendigo, Brimbank, East Gippsland, Horsham, Melton, Mildura and Shepparton will each receive an additional $200,000 in funding over two years to June 2021.

The funding is being delivered through the Youth Crime Prevention Grants program which aims to address offending behaviour and recidivism by young people who have had contact with, or are at risk of involvement with, the criminal justice system.

With this additional funding, the Victorian Government has invested almost $18 million into the Youth Crime Prevention Grants program since 2016-17.
