      Building Safer Communities Program

      Grants and community forums to support Victorian local councils, not-for-profit organisations and other stakeholders to deliver innovative projects to address the causes of crime and improve community safety.

    • Creating Safer Places

      Creating Safer Places

      Creating Safer Places supports urban design projects that apply an inclusive environmental design approach to deter crime, increase safety and activate public places.

    • Crime Prevention Innovation Fund

      Crime Prevention Innovation Fund

      Grants of between $25,000 and $300,000 for councils, not for profit community organisations and other specialist organisations for partnership projects that deliver and evaluate innovative community safety and crime prevention initiatives.

    • Empowering Communities

      Empowering Communities

      Funding to support innovative, evidence-based approaches to address crime and improve community safety in selected community areas.

    • Youth Engagement Grants

      Youth Engagement Grants

      Small multicultural and Aboriginal clubs and organisations are eligible to apply for grants to support projects that use cultural connection, sport, arts, music or other creative activities to engage young people.

    • Community Safety Infrastructure Grants

      Community Safety Infrastructure Grants

      Funding of up to $500,000 to improve community safety, security and confidence in public places.

    • Youth Crime Prevention Grants

      Youth Crime Prevention Grants

      Funding for community-led initiatives that address offending behaviour and recidivism by young people.
