We are inviting you to participate in consultation to inform the design of a new crime prevention capability building program.

We know that local communities are best placed to identify the crime prevention issues that matter to them and come up with solutions that will make a real difference.

The Capability Building Program aims to expand the existing skills and knowledge of community partners and stakeholders and provide access to tools and resources to support the development, implementation, and evaluation of community-led initiatives and solutions.

Organisations involved in crime prevention activities and other interested stakeholders are now invited to provide advice and input to help us identify learning and development topics of interest so we can develop an engaging and relevant program.

Who is the consultation open to?

We are keen to hear from a wide variety of stakeholders involved in activities related to crime prevention and community safety and cohesion.

The consultation is open to all current and previous funded crime prevention partners, and any organisation that currently works in, or has potential to work in, the crime prevention space.  This includes (but is not limited to) community organisations focussed on:

  • health
  • housing
  • justice
  • youth
  • education
  • employment
  • community building, and
  • local councils.

How to take part in the consultation

The consultation is done online through an external platform called Surveymonkey and takes about 10 minutes to complete.

The survey is now open and will close at 5 pm on Friday 26 May 2023.
