We all want to be part of a strong, connected and safe community where everyone has the chance to thrive.
The best way to achieve this is by working together to strengthen our communities by providing those most in need with education and employment opportunities, linking people to the right support, and building cultural and community connections.
Ultimately, our focus is community safety and reducing the risks factors that can lead to crime.
To do this, the government will work in partnership with our communities in the following ways.
Supporting and empowering communities to identify and deliver local solutions that will make them safer.
Partnering with businesses, community groups, support services, local councils to connect those in need with the right support at the right time.
Understanding what works best for each community and using this knowledge to increase our positive impact.
Together, we can create stronger and more engaged communities and achieve our overall goal – for Victorians to be safer and feel safer.
